What are the Blue Caves?
Carved into the western cliffs of Paxos, the Blue Caves are a series of sea caves where sunlight reflects off the white limestone and turns the water an electric shade of blue. As the boat glides under the rock arches, the colours shift from sapphire to emerald.
How to visit the Blue Caves from Parga
The easiest way is a day cruise from Parga. Boats depart Parga Port at 09:30 and combine the caves with a swim stop at Antipaxos, all in a full day of roughly 6–8 hours.
Best time to see them
The blue glow is strongest around midday when the sun is high. The cruise timing is designed to reach the caves in the best light. The season runs May to October.
